It's always surprising to find out that people is talking about your work and sharing it on the web. I recently found various links that made me quite happy so Big Big thanks to everyone out there who supports my work.
Thanks to Bleaq.com, Girlygoulash tumblr and Kartica.ru for sharing (this last one is Russian!! and though i'm not 100% sure of what it says, this person actually took the time to write about me and stuff. So Cool!!!)

Corona
Ok,
one more piece before I go into a large project that will demand quite some time... I
had to rework a lot the figure but I managed to save a lot of the initial painting texture,
which was great!
Hopefully I’ll be able to post some more pieces every now and then so stay tuned!

Quick update
Some updates, this time about Colombia. A small piece I did for the web magazine Bacanika. Not crazy about the final result so I’ll just post some details. And recently my former college decided to put together an illustration book from both students and alumni and I was selected to be part of it! Great news!
Buena noticia!!!!

Arch Enemy
Here’s a piece I did a couple of months ago for Arch Enemy Entertainment. It’s the cover for an upcoming Sci-fi novel that will be published later this year. Lots of Fun. Thanks to Neil and William!

Sorrow Songs
This piece needs a brief introduction. In this illo I wanted
to explore the word Horror. It took me a while to figure out what the word truly
means to me and in the end I found myself connecting the concept to my reality,
or to be more accurate, to my country’s reality. This piece was
inspired by a terrifying event know as The Salado Massacre, which took place in
El Salado, Colombia in February of 2000. Though it’s
a complex story, I focused on one terrifying detail: during the massacre, the
murderers decided to play live music with Gaitas, Tamboras and accordions, while
they were slaughtering the town’s people. Years has
passed by and I can’t still get my head around this
event so I decided to use it as a starting point to work around the concept of
Horror. This piece is not a representation; it’s more of a personal
reflection, and some how a tribute to all the innocent victims that has left
the nonsense, corrupted and unjustified war over my country.

Mirror
It’s been a long, long time since I last updated my blog. I could say that I was in a brief hiatus, which is partially truth, but I also was busy working on some freelance commissions, a few personal pieces, meeting extremely talented artists and making some connections. Now, the “break” is over and it’s time to get busy again. So… enough with the chat.
This is a personal piece I did recently. No entirely happy with the final outcome but it was worth trying. In the process you will realize that this is not the way I usually work since the piece changed quite a lot from the initial idea.

Self portrait
And last but
not least, I guess I’m getting back into oil painting too, and after a bunch of frustrating
failures I was able to make a decent portrait, in this case a self portrait!
Oil on
Linen, 11x17
Goldfishes
It took me
a while to figure out this illo, but I was quite happy in the end. I actually
started with acrylics this time but ended up doing lots of digital painting.
The whole process gave me a good notion of how to integrate both digital and
traditional media for upcoming pieces and that was rewarding!
Based on
the beautiful story “Where their fire is not Quenched” by May Sinclair. Acrylic
& digital. 11 X 16
